James Taylor You’ve Got a Friend Guitar Lesson

January 14, 2010 By rserpe Leave a Comment

This lesson includes several videos on how to play You’ve Got a Friend by James Taylor on acoustic guitar.  The song was actually written by Carole King, but James Taylor made the song popular.

This song is a bit more advanced, so if you are a beginner just starting out, you may find this song challenging.   I recommend you start out by trying some easy acoustic guitar songs here first.  If you are feeling adventurous, then I don’t want to discourage you from trying, so enjoy!

Be sure to scroll down past the video lessons below as I have also included a video of the original song as performed by James Taylor and Carole King.  Below that, there are also a few additional resources that you may find interesting. Enjoy!
