The technical aspect of guitar playing, like scales, can become boring at times. It is however a necessary exercise to familiarize yourself with the guitar. It also strengthens your hand and builds up calluses. Hopefully the fact that learning scales makes you a better guitar player will entice you to continue your studying of scales.
