Learn how to play Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown) by The Beatles with this free guitar lesson. Norwegian Wood was released in 1965 on the album “Rubber Soul “ and was written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney.

This song stands out in my mind time and time again as one of The Beatles most interesting song , because of  the use of the sitar played by George Harrison. Just an all around lovely song and very enjoyable to play.  You can read more about this song over at Wikipedia.

This is a really fun folk style song to play on guitar.  It is slightly challenging at first, but after practicing it for some time, it will become second nature.  I am not sure how the original song is played, but in this particular video lesson (featured below), Marty plays it with a guitar capo on the second fret.
