Gadd4 Guitar Chord

Learn how to play the beginner guitar chord, Gadd4, with this free tutorial.

The Gadd4 Guitar Chord is found in the G Major Scale: G A B C D E F# G. It is made up of the 1, 3, 4 and 5 of this scale. Meaning the notes G, B,C, and D.

This is  a very easy chord to finger.  If you know how to play the open G Major chord, then you are almost there.  You are basically adding one more note to the G Major chord, the ā€œCā€ note to be specific.  This can be easily played by placing your first finger on the first fret of the B string, as indicated in the chord chart below.
