Time of your Life (Good Riddance) By Green Day Guitar Lesson

Learn how to play the song Good Riddance (Time of Your Life) by Green Day with the free guitar lesson below.  This song is from the album Nimrod released in December of 1997.

I must admit, I wasn’t a huge fan of Green Day until after they released this single. Once I heard this song, I began to appreciate their other music a bit more.  This song is easy to play yet has the ability to be very “catchy” and can stick in your head for days… Don’t you love songs like that?

As David explains in the video below, the original song is played using an arpeggio technique.  An arpeggio in guitar is when you play each note of a chord separately instead of strumming them all at once.  If you are just starting out, that my be too difficult for you, so you can just have fun with this song and play the chords only.  Watch the lesson below for more information on how to do this.

A big thanks to David Taub of Next Level Guitar for creating the guitar lesson below!  You can learn more about Next Level Guitar by following this link.  As David explains in the video lesson below, there are only 4 chords in this Time of your Life (Good Riddance) By Green Day Lesson:  G Major, CAdd9, D Major and E Minor (Click each hyperlinked chord for a lesson on how to play them).

There are certainly a lot of details like that to take into consideration. That is a great point to bring up. I don’t know if best practices have emerged around things like that, but I am sure that your job is clearly identified as a fair game. Both boys and girls feel the impact of just a moment’s pleasure, for the rest of their lives.
