Hey guys
Im learning to play guitar and for me the key thing that seems to be MISSING in most of these notes is the RYTHM. It would be great to know the best way to strum or pick for these songs as I am not yet skilled enough to make them up myself :o]
these songs are hard to follow , they sound kinda weird . But it’s the idea of the song though i guess . idk , it was good though.
sound kinda wierd?? the eagles, bob seager, tom petty they are classics….. this was helpful thx
Well this is awesome I learned how to play free fallin’ in 3 hours!
This article is an oasis for beginners :p
Thanks a lot. I learned a few nice stuffs 🙂
Great list, I’ve been trying to compile a list of “what songs to play at X”, and some of these will definitely make the list! Thanks.

I will have to put together a lesson on this song in the near future..

This is a fantastic site. The guy is an excellent teacher.
The first song I learned was House of the Rising Sun. It’s a pretty simple song and was the first my teacher taught me to learn how to play by ear. The second was Take it Easy and I see it’s on your list.
Nice site!
Hi . this is a great site , i playing guitar for 5 year , my 1st song that i learned was mama said by metallica & the next was sympathy by rare bird … i wanna write some respectful song that u can play that … they r not much difficult but they r great :
– mama said & nothing else matter ( without last solo thats not difficult ) by metallica
– soldier of fortune by deep purple
– beyond the sunset by blackmore (i love it )
– hurt by christina aguilera
– wish u were here by pink floyed
– imagine & let it be by ST.JOHN LENNON
ok i say it again … great site Mr.
@sara i too am just beginning guitar, but something that i noticed while learning the basics is this…. when you strum a chord with a downstroke, you will primarily hear the G, B, and E strings ring out. ( the highest strings on a 6 string guitar) however if you strum with an upstroke the LOW E, A, and D strings ( or lowest pitched strings) will be more dominant. listen to these songs on youtube or pandora, wherever and you should be able to pick out the strum patterns with no problem.
The easiest song I learned in guitar class was a folk song called, “Mercedes” by Janis Joplin.
Another great classic is Tears in Heaven.
I think come as you are is one of the easiest songs to play. It only had 3 notes with frets.
Cool blog! Is your theme custom made or did you
download it from somewhere? A design like yours with a few simple tweeks would really
make my blog stand out. Please let me know where you got your design.
Thank you
So it have video lesson on youtube? I hope I can have some time with that since I can save some time for other things.
